Breakfast and dinner were both superb.

Couldn't fault anything.

Good location. Good place to stop. Very friendly staff. Facilities in room were adequate.

The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and resulted in a spasm in my neck that I have yet to get rid of. We had travelled far and were tired and had even further to go the next day. Also, little shongalolos in the bathroom... 'Large double bed' was probably accurate but is interpreted as 'large' which is a requirement for a man 2 metres tall. That was the reason we selected Kliphuys.

Anyone with a modicum of taste will greatly appreciate the impeccably decorated and beautifully warm kliphuis. We were so pleasantly surprised that such a beautiful, stylish, and comfortable place could be found on our road trip back to Pretoria. Our room had everything we needed, including a fantastic bed, the food was lovely (and the dessert dramatic), and the staff were incredibly warm and inviting. We left with the biggest bunch of fresh spinach straight from their garden, well rested, well fed, and very sad to go. We have already told everyone we know who drives up and down the country to do themselves a favour and stay at the Kilphuis.

Food was excellent. Full marks to the young chef!
