Our room had no shower. Only a bath tub

The bed was comfortable and we were warm enough

There was no host (or anyone for that matter) available on site to discuss questions or if you needed anything. We did not see any staff at all while we were there, the place was deserted, in fact, the only other couple who stayed there for the night were glad to see us as they felt very uncomfortable alone in the big house. We got the smallest room, literally a square where you can just move around the bed. The shelves in the fridge were broken, there was only 'budget' coffee supplied, no rooibos tea. The room was freezing, we were told when booking in, there's a fan heater 'you're going to need it'. DSTV is useless, something like Netflix or even Showmax would have been better. The bathroom bin had not been cleaned after the previous guests left and it was disgusting. There was no plug for the basin, so I had to borrow a plug from the other couple's room to put some water in the basin. The toilet was also leaking the entire night, I find this very surprising as there are signs everywhere asking guests to conserve water. The toilet also had to be flushed three times after using it, before it was clear (the cistern has been reduced in size but there's not enough water coming through to flush the toilet properly) again wasting water. There was only a bath, no shower so we asked the other couple if we could shower in their room in the morning. If you're travelling and still have a long way to go, the last thing you want to do is take a long bath in the morning. When asking about breakfast, the person who handed our keys to us, said oh but tomorrow is Sunday so the staff only come in after 8. We did not see any staff up to the point when we left the next morning at 10:00. It was very difficult to sleep because the fridge in the room is ancient and was making a noise the entire night.

We did not stay. We left immediately and booked at African Sky about 3 minutes from that place Lali's Guest House is DIRTY & FILTHY. The white guy/ host was unprofessional, gave us the keys outside & I asked him if we could go in & only then he said yes while he was on his phone with someone. This place should not be on BookingDotCom. The pictures are deceiving. It is not safe. I need my FULL REFUND!
