Pension Amagiji

Our 5-night stay at Pension Amagiji was absolutely wonderful. The location is very central on the peninsula, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area and all the nearby sights. We had a rental car during our stay, which is definitely recommended. The pension itself is incredibly charming, both inside and out. Our room had a peaceful and authentic Japanese atmosphere, and we slept very comfortably on the futons. We also really enjoyed relaxing on the balcony after a day of driving around and sightseeing. The private onsen baths were another highlight of our stay. We happily made use of them every single day. We were also very glad that we chose to order breakfast every morning — this is something we would highly recommend. Each of the 5 mornings we were served a different breakfast, all carefully prepared, delicious, and beautifully presented with great attention and care. Finally, all compliments to the lovely and exceptionally kind lady who takes such wonderful care of the pension and her guests. She truly made our stay extra special.

Absolutely nothing

A traditional cozy big room, beautiful view to the river. Great inside onsen that you can use privately. Tea kettle provided, very beautiful hotel and we were almost the only ones. Good wifi. Nice woman welcomed us.

Couldnt use the onsen in the morning. Toilets arent in room but they were private for us because we were almost alone there.

Die Unterkunft war wirklich sehr schön und gemütlich und sah noch besser aus als auf den Bildern. Das Haus ist typisch japanisch eingerichtet mit Tatami Boden in den Zimmern und Futon Betten. Es gab zwei schöne Onsen, die man privat nutzen konnte. Das Zimmer war geräumig, mit einem Waschbecken und einer Sitzecke mit Blick auf den Fluss hinter dem Haus. Die Gastgeberin war sehr nett und hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Insgesamt ein sehr toller Aufenthalt.

Für uns waren die Matratzen sehr dünn und hart, sodass das schlafen unbequem war, aber das ist häufig so in Japan.
