다다미방을 경험할 수 있었고, 일단 거의 일본인 가족단위로 묵고 가는 게스트하우스 같았습니다. 너무 깨끗했고, 일본 가정집을 경험하고 온 것 같은 느낌입니다. 사장님 한국분이시고, 정이 넘치셨어요. 잘 쉬고 왔습니다.

The neighbordhood, the room,

The person in charge was kind of rude. She was mad because I arrived before 10 AM. I had a bad cold and asked her if I could stay and wait in the kitchen. She asked me to leave immediately. Happily, I could leave the luggage at the premises. . Did not feel welcomed !!! Not one smile. I think she is used to receive only local tourists.

Fun fact, this landlord lady kept trying to explicitly teach me how to be polite on her terms, by: 1. tearing my visa page accidentally without apology, 2. staring at me and interpreting my actions while I dried my hair, then commanding me to clean the hair and water marks on the floor, saying this was not polite for the next guest—even though another bathroom was always empty throughout my stay, 3. criticizing me for wetting the slippers just by touching them while I was still wearing them. A very judgmental and suffocating experience. However, if you want to learn how to be a polite guest, this lady will have no doubt in teaching you. 🙂

Convenient location

Needed to find own car park.

Das Bett war sehr bequem. Die Lage in Nara auch ganz geschickt. Das Zimmer war piccobello sauber aber recht unpersönlich.

Die Ausstattung der Küche war unter Camping- niveau. Ein einziger Löffel, ein Schneidemesser kleine Papptellerchen und Einmalstäbchen. Immerhin, Tassen gab es.

The place is located at a walkable distance to Nara Park, Kintetsu Station and to other facilities, including a local supermarket, but far enough so that its neighborhood does not feel crowded. The room is very spacious and comfy, and the host was super helpful and friendly as well. I would even recommend people to stay here if they are visiting Osaka or Kyoto, since both cities are just a train away from Kintetsu.
