New toilet seat needed in the otherwise ideal bathroom

Comfy, not far from the city centre, tastefully decorated, lovely breakfast and excellent host. Situated in a lovely part of town known as 'Bishy Road' with its own trendy cafes, shops, and eateries. So, if you don't fancy the stroll into the city, you can always find something local.

The property and the room were beautiful, we stayed in Room 2 which has the 4 poster bed. The room was spacious and well appointed with a lovely bathroom. Plenty of drawers and cupboard for storing belongings. There was also a window seat to view the local high street. Mike was a great host, he provided information about the local area and cooked a great breakfast.

The room was warm, the bed very comfortable, and the sweets left each day were an extra treat. Many thanks for them, the shower was also good. Lovely breakfast to get the day started.

Visiting with a friend the fact there was twin beds not many places had when we booked. Location and walking distance to the York city centre. Breakfast included.

The room we had was very cold and felt damp when the heating went off. It did say in the B&B booklet that there were extra blankets but none in our room. If you are staying for more than 2 days lack of a wardrobe for hanging clothes.

Perfect place to visit York! Great room, walking distance from train station/old city. Nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff. Would recommend!

Breakfast was delicious. Location was good. House has got a lovely design. Very quiet during the night.

We didn't have a welcome but self check in was managed well. No reception and communication was not smooth. We have received email regarding self check in.
