Upper Hydra

The room was sparkling clean, the lady who took care of our room was super kind and polite, smiley and helpful! Amazing breakfast in the cafe downstairs with full menu to chose from and in a fantastic location! The room is spacious, bright and very well maintained. Really really worth it!

The place was clean (though the rest room has a disguting smell from the sewer).

We booked the place to relax a couple of days (from our main stay in Athens). The island itself is very beautiful and quiet. We booked this place and paid extra money for the expensive room with a balcony overlooking the water. But both days there were so much noise from workers on the street that we were woken up early. We could not sit in the cafe and enjoy the mediocre breakfast without getting a headache. And we obviously could not use the balcony. None of this was commented or done anything with. When I wrote to them some days after the visit (when asked to review the place via booking.com), I told the hotel and Booking.com about the problem. Booking.com refuse to do anything about it. The hotel admitted everything and instead of reimbursing us (for just one of the two nights as I suggested), they offered us another night at the hotel in the future. Obviously we are not coming back (we live in Denmark), so this "offer" is really worthless to us. I told them that, but they do not care. Make sure you dont live her - even without the noise it is only mediocre and not worth the price. But enjoy Hydra, which is a very beautiful island.

Smelly bathroom

Beautiful room and view. Outstanding location, right at the ferry dock on the harbor. Friendly and helpful staff, particularly George. Fantastic restaurant, Isalos.

The bathroom in our room was very tight for 2 people. No privacy when you’re on the toilet. Shower is not enclosed, so the rest of the bathroom gets a bit wet. Would still come back because the rest of the experience was great.

great view of the harbour, directly above one of the restaurants where you get the best breakfast I had in my travels through the Islands. super comfy cocomat bed.

the en suite is a large glass shower cubicle so you really wouldn't want to share the room with anyone unless you're used to using the toilet in front of them.

Noisy from water taxi and crowds , food smell from restaurants downstairs,mattresses wasn’t comfortable bathroom wasn’t user friendly.I did not like at all

The location is perfect - right above the busiest coffee shop in Hydra port. During odd season it is still lively. Breakfast in the coffee shop was great, staff is excellent.
