Villa Ivanovi

I guess due to it being low season, and I planned to stay for a week, I was upgraded to a studio room with kitchen, which was very nice. It was super clean and comfortable, warm in the winter weather with a small ground heater. The kitchen was basic, but good quality, and clean. Wifi was good also. Bathroom was just outside the room, though shared with the washing machine for the house. They have paid attention to a lot of little things, from furnishings and decorations to shoe horns near the shoe storage. Despite not having really much English, the owners mother was very nice, and tried hard to communicate, often using her phone to translate for you. She tried to be very helpful and was patient.

The location is a little out of the way, but not too far. There is a beach not too far away, which is a little rough, but nice enough to walk along when you're heading towards old town via the hiking paths.

A bit far from the centre, but it's only a 15 minutes walk, so not so far.

The owner of the facility is in Skopje and his/her grandma welcomes the guests, she was a sweet lady. Because of her and the price, I give the 4 stars. Location is not central but not a problem if you have a car.

I usually try to find the places with a high price/performance ratio. With this facility, I was fooled by the positive comments. I stayed in February when the weather was -7 degrees. The facility has very strict rules. I was not allowed the leave the heat on while I was out, I think I came back to the apartment at 9 pm and turned the heat on. But the electric radiator was very small and I froze to death till the morning. I couldn't even sleep because of the cold. The facility was not dirty, but the blankets didn't have sheets.
