Riverbush Lodge Guesthouse

Everything was thought thru..we had almost everything we needed in the room..the environment was calm and peaceful..beautiful garden and plenty sitting areas, providing privacy for all guests.. friendly staff (Neo).. and June helped us with her suggestion of restaurants.. on our 2nd day..we met the lovely host/owner Elize.

This is not a dislike but a suggestion to have small microwave in a room..even though the beautiful kitchen outside had everything we needed..I felt inconvenienced to go out at night to warm my midnight snack..it was scary.

Very nice property, liked the external kitchen and all the braai areas. Nice getaway for a married couple. The bed was amazing. They cleaned daily and were always really helpful. Liked getting the filter coffee daily. The kitchen is also equipped with most things you need (salt, spices, utensils etc).

It can get cold and the aircon didn’t seem to work above 20 degrees. It would also be nice if there were lights above the braais. Another thing, that didn’t really affect us, but I do think it is necessary to remove the picture of the pool from the photos posted about this place as it can be seen as false advertising (why would you add those pics if the pool isn’t available?).

Its beautiful and in a peaceful area just across the vaal river.

The attention to detail and rustic feel of the property.

Gas geyser was a bit challenging, but host told us how to work around it. This might only be specific to the room we stayed and not the whole property.

It is safe and clean.

There was no privacy between my room and the room next door as we could hear each other.
