Xinghai Seaview Guesthouse

Filtered drinking water (hot and cold), tea and snacks were always available. The system to request your room clean (or not be cleaned) was excellent (you leave your key at reception when you go out if you want the room cleaned, otherwise they leave it). The room was clean and comfortable with lots of natural light. There was lots of TV channels to choose from including multiple English language channels. The view from the room was excellent (we requested a balcony room). The staff were friendly and made a real effort to communicate, even though their English (and our Chinese) was not very fluent.

It would have been nice for the balcony door and the room windows to have fly screens so that we could let more air into the room without insects. There was only one small window with a fly screen in the room. It would have been nice to have a bidet or equivalent given that toilet paper cannot be flushed (it goes in the bin).

Excellent customer service. The person at the front desk was the best! I didn’t rent a scooter (a must do) and she arranged everything for me to be picked up and back to the hotel. She was the best!!!

Room was noise since it has a construction next to it, and dark since I couldn’t open the window either.
