People were great rooms were perfect cleaned every day. They even got my laundry done for me

The room was very comfortable - great AC and comfy bed. Had a mini fridge and also a microwave in the general area which was quite handy. You can have a nespresso coffee every day and there’s general coffee and tea out throughout the day. There’s always someone on the front desk so it feels very safe. Compared to the cost of other places Amigos is such great value for money! If I’m ever in Dauin again this will be my go-to place.

Amigos was incredibly welcoming and helpful with everything we needed for our stay! Bong and the Amigos team went above and beyond to help us arrange transportation, extend our stay, and even helped us retrieve a lost item. We were very grateful for them during our stay in Dauin!

What matters in a hotel is not whether problems happen, but how they are handled. Here, when a problem arose, the owner refused to speak with me and instructed her manager Bong to blame me — aggressively. Day 1: No hot water after diving. Bong told me to wait 5 minutes after he "turned it on." Only lukewarm water came out. I gave up. Day 2: After a cold night dive, I needed hot water urgently. A young staff member checked — no hot water. Bong then checked himself and also confirmed no hot water, even suggesting the problem might be on "my side" of the building. I phoned the owner. She agreed to refund all 3 nights, but I proposed instead to keep the booking and waive the remaining 2 nights, since I would shower at the dive shop. She agreed. Later that night, Bong came to me apologizing — the knob turns left, not right. But he and the staff had already checked the shower themselves and failed to identify this. No one had ever instructed me on it. Day 3, 11 AM: Bong knocked on my door demanding payment for the 2 remaining nights, saying it "wasn't their fault." When I pointed out their own staff had failed to identify the problem, he became aggressive. At the office he told me flatly it was "completely my fault." I asked to speak with the owner. She refused the call and told Bong to inform me that in 6 years of business, I am the only guest who has ever complained about hot water. I checked out immediately. Their logic is broken: if it was so obviously my fault, why did their own manager and staff fail to identify it when they checked? The owner reversed her own agreement, refused to speak with me, and had her manager deliver the blame aggressively. Dauin has limited accommodation options, so this place may seem like a default choice — but there are far better dive resorts in the area. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
