Surf & Guest Lorena´s House

- very comfortable room - very pleasant and spacious house - close to the beach

- noisy surroundings (dogs barking all night) - only one bathroom for 3 rooms - we are not used to this type of accommodation: hosts are living in the house so we felt quite uncomfortable with using the shared parts of the house (kitchen, living room) in the presence of hosts family

Lorena and her Husband are very lovely people. I recommend going to their restaurant as well and try fresh fish. It’s like coming back home to Mami and Papi. If you like to surf- this location is perfect. I would definitely come back. All the best for you, Anni and Julia

Lorena's House is very comfortable and warmth place. The attention is very good and the people are very kind.

the location is perfect to get to Santa barbara beach. Hosts were friendly.

Lorena is a super nice host! Our plave arrived to the island really late and she waited for us. Room is clean and washrooms are also cleaned on a daily basis.

Sometimes we had to wait long to get warm water in the shower on the first floor. Sometimes the water changed to cold suddenly but all in all it was not a big issue.

I enjoyed a wonderful short trip to the Azores at Sao Miguel. Lorena's guest house is located right close to the beach and the center of Ribeira Grande is in walking distance (15 mins). I was welcomed warmly and felt like home, since the hosts are so friendly and help with everything. I was lucky and could taste fresh traditional bread of the island that Lorena is baking. Both know a lot about the island and the interesting culture! I was picked up at the airport, but hiring a car is also possible. My room was beautiful and the house amazing including a huge living room, a kitchen and a barbecue area outside! I would recommend this place to surfers, hikers, bikers.. and all kind of other travellers ;-)

The house is located 5 minutes walking distance from the beach; 10 mins from the grocery store. Bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and make you feel right at home! The house is very clean, with a large kitchen and an inviting patio which is perfect for relaxing and bbq'ing. Highly recommendable!!
