Karoo Pandok Guesthouse Bethulie

The host, Linda, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived at the accommodation. The rooms had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Comfortable beds and pillows . Microwave, kettle, even rusks ,milk and water in the fridge. Quiet location and safe parking.

Linda is amazing.

After the rains the access road is not so smooth but this is a Municipal issue not something Karoo Pandok can do about it. Once you approach the premises then all is well.

Linda, the hostess and manager, was very friendly and accommodating.

Heerlijk rustig en super goed verzorgd. Linda de gastvrouw legt haar ziel en zaligheid erin. Door haar hadden we een bijzonder verblijf. Echt een aanrader!

Lots of care and attention to detail taken in the preparation of the guesthouse - gardens, lawns, pool, linen and food as examples. The hostess, Linda was very welcoming and prepared. She takes pride in their service and delivery. Other staff onsite were friendly and willing to assist. Room and surrounds were very comfortable. Pool was awesome. Breakfast was delicious and hearty - well worth it! We visited and ate at 'Die Ou Kar' restaurant and pub; such an amazing little restaurant in town - great vibe and quality food.

The town is in a sad state but much of the original character is still evident. The Bethulie Royal Hotel - 'House of Stories' was remarkable, the restaurant 'Die Ou Kar' and the NG Kerk were all amazing however the rest seemed to need care and service delivery.

The rooms were clean. The pool was clean and refreshing Linda, the hostess, is onsite and helpful.

The air cons are switched off at the mains by management to save electricity and we had to ask to have them switched back on. The rooms were hot and stuffy. Thank goodness for the pool! There are no surfaces to place personal items in the room and bathroom. Unfortunately there was a Boxing Day bash in a nearby settlement, so we had loud music into the early hours of the morning. (I do think this is an isolated incident though) My sons’ beds were very uncomfortable, ours were ok.
