Dinaledi House

We were under the impression we would have a private kitchen, but that was not the case. There is one kitchen for all the rooms to share. The place is very pretty on the pictures, but not so much in person. Very loud people in the house on Sunday night (around 8pm) and again on Monday morning (between 5am and 6am). I don't think they were guests, because there was only one other room occupied and when the noise subsided they were still there. Nevertheless, they need to manage the noise levels, especially at those hours.

Breakfast wasn’t great. Plumbing was not the best, the shower flooded.

Wonderful host, friendly service, clean and modern home

The place is beautiful, feels like home. The staff members welcomed us nicely and they made sure that we are comfortable. When we arrive they helped us to order our meal and everything we needed was just a phone call away.

There are no ubers, we use taxis, which makes it expensive whereas we were not going far.

The house was homely the kids enjoyed playing with the owner's kids, the room was spacious enough for the three of us.

The booking was made using my mother's account (Nosipho). When we arrived before even getting out of the car the manager (Tiisetso) drove with us taking it to another house saying it's one of their houses. Saying where we had booked there's a family that booked in to stay, so it might be best to stay in that house. We got there, it was nothing like the one I booked, it was so cold (atmosphere); I told her this and then took us back to the house we had booked at. The family that was there - it was the owners, I found this out by observing their interaction and how the kids were so familiar with the manager. The room we were in had a sliding door that didn't work, because there was no key, it had no windows; we had to use A/C. The breakfast we paid for, they couldn't even give us 100% juice - they served us Tropika, my kids had burnt pancakes. The dishes would stay overnight until the lady that cleans arrives the following day around 9am, struggling to get clean utensils in the morning. The place was infested with flies. I had to ask for bath towels, we got very old towels. The cleaner would clean our room very late in the day, she "cleaned" while the kids were taking their afternoon nap after 2pm. I realised that we had lost our clothing items days after coming back home, when my helper was back we were doing the laundry. After reporting this to the Manager, she took two weeks saying she's investigating until I contacted the owner directly. She then gave me 3 options so they can assist. I got an affidavit and the costs of the items from the stores the items were bought from as requested, only for the owner to come back to tell me that there's no evidence that our clothes were stolen there. This is after they couldn't get hold of the helper which they had told me only started working there for December to relieve the full time one over the holidays.

The place was nice and clean and the staff was amazing
