10 Windell Self Catering Accommodation

It was clean.

I booked 10 Windell Self Catering on the 1st July 2024 for 2nd & 3rd July. The booking was made via booking.com There it has in BOLD green writing, free cancellation, pay only after you checked in. With logistics, I had to move my travel a day up to 3rd July and would only use accommodation for just 1 night. As a courtesy, I sent a message to the accommodation to inform them, I will only be using the room for just 1 night, 3rd July. They then proceeded to send me banking details. Which was confusing now, as on the website, it says another thing. (FREE TO CANCEL ANYTIME, PAY ONCE YOU CHECKED IN.) On the 3rd July on my way to the accommodation, I received a text asking if I am still checking in. My response was yes. ( This doesn't sound like an accommodation booked back to back with guests), but anyway. When I got to the reception. The lady was "friendly," but then she DEMAND payment for the previous evening for which I hadn't used the accommodation and had made courtesy call to inform the establishment of changes in my travel plans. She made me sit by the door as an indication of how unwelcome I was until she received payment, including the night not used. It was a cold day, their warm air-conditioner did not warm the room. And then the lights went off at night, as I type this my battery is on 8% as I couldn't charge my electronics, but I paid for 2 nights and slept one night in a cold accommodation.

Great location. Quiet and comfortable

The owner was very friendly and willing to assist beyond what the place provided. The area is quiet and was suitable for my daughter who had virtual classes.

There was a bit of a gas smell, but we closed the gas can and the fridge did not make cold enough. Would appreciate if that are checked

Very comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Ideal location - walking distance to shops. Lovely garden. Quiet & clean.

Excellent accommodation in the heart of Durbanville, Cape Town. The 3 of us stayed for 20 nights. Lovely and clean. Super comfy beds. Great kitchen amenities. Courtesy tea, coffee and milk particularly appreciated throughout our stay. Lovely big bathroom. Equipped for load shedding - emergency lighting and gas hob. Thank you for our comfortable stay!
