Royal Vantage

Amazing place! Close to the city center yet quiet and peaceful. Delicious breakfasts, a fantastic host, and a balcony view that takes your breath away. Highly recommended!

Wij hadden een nieuwe, nette en schone kamer op de bovenverdieping met prachtig uitzicht! Binnen 5 min lopen sta je in de hoofdstraat van Ella. Wij huurden een scooter, wat ik kan aanraden. Het ontbijt was echt fantastisch. Toast met ei, fruit (shake) maar ook altijd een Sri Lankaans gerechtje. De eigenaar (en zijn familie) zijn super lieve mensen. Laten je direct welkom voelen en helpen je waar nodig.

The host is a great guy, always helpful and at disposal: one of the best guy we met in Sri Lanka! Breakfast is huge, everyday different and various (local food + toast and egg). The location is absolutely perfect to visit the town and start your hikings.

Rooms and breakfast place are in two different locations but that's no issue. Breakfast was of good quality. You may get a room with a view to the mountain and train track or on the other side of the building. Access to the location is steep but can be handled by a Tuktuk. The room is clean, no AC but a fan. Since you're at some 1100m, you won't need AC. There's a net around the bed to keep flies and stuff away. Since you are way from town and if you are into star watching, this is a good place since it's pretty dark during the night without and "light-noise".

It's a short walk along to train tracks to get into town which means you are not right into the centre of the nightly party which is good. But still, you will hear the nightly partying noise up to 0200. It's somewhat annoying since it may prevent you to catch a good sleep. It's not specific to this location but all places around Ella are concerned, unfortunately.

De accommodatie is onwijs mooi, erg schoon en met prachtig uitzicht. De host is heel behulpzaam en hielp ons gelijk met de activiteiten die we wilden doen in Ella en het regelen van vervoer. Ook het ontbijt is heel goed verzorgd.

Het uitzicht is prachtig, maar je zit wel naast het spoor dus je kan de trein wel goed horen vanuit de kamer. Wij hadden er verder weinig last van.

Alojamiento de 10 en todo, cómodo, limpio, cerca del centro por un pequeño trayecto por las vías, el sitio espectacular con vistas preciosas y el dueño súper atento y siempre con una sonrisa. El desayuno de los mejores que hemos tomado en Sri Lanka. Para repetir sin duda.

All was fine

La habitación es muy amplía y tienes todo lujo de detalles y la cama es comodísima, tiene una terraza con unas vistas impresionantes. Esta ubicado en un sitio genial y por un atajo se llega al centro de Ella en 5 minutos. El desayuno es delicioso, se toma en el porche del dueño que vive a un minuto de la casa. El es Super atento y agradable, siempre sonriente. Muy recomendable!!

Lo único malo es que es un poco ruidoso. Si llueve se oye mucho el tejado
