Shining Green View

Loved our stay here while exploring Ella. Kalindu was so welcoming and helpful in suggesting activities for the day. We were travelling with our two kids aged 5 and 8 and the family room was perfect for us. Breakfast was tasty and perfect way to start the day.

We had an amazing stay and could not have asked for a better place in Ella. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. They were truly the nicest people we met during our entire trip to Sri Lanka. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the view was absolutely spectacular. The breakfast was delicious, and we also enjoyed the dinners served at their restaurant. They offer laundry services and helped us arrange everything we needed, including scooter rental and a tuk-tuk tour of the city. No request was too much for them, and they were always happy to assist. I wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Ella. I am convinced I could not have made a better choice, and I would gladly stay here again.

Wat een super fijne plek om te verblijven als je in Ella bent! Met een fantastisch uitzicht, het personeel is super, ontbijt heerlijk en een klein koelkastje op de kamer is ook erg fijn. De accomodatie is niet in Ella zelf, maar met de tuktuk ben je zo in het dorp en/of bij de bezienswaardigheden. Voor lunch en diner kan je ook goed eten in het sfeervolle restaurant boven.

Alles beviel ons. Maar als ik dan iets moet noemen: er was op de kamer geen kast aanwezig om je koffer uit te pakken voor als je (net als wij) iets langer verblijft op dezelfde plek.

Excellent view for both mountains and train. Staff was amazing, specially the manager, Suraj, so kind and helpful. Breakfast was great with amazing view. Rooms has excellent view with amazing balcony enjoying the sunrise. Its value for money.

Our family spent an incredible night at Shining Green View Ella, and we only wish we could have stayed longer! If you are looking for a peaceful escape that captures the true essence of Ella’s natural beauty while still being just a short, convenient distance from the town center, this place is absolute perfection. ✨ We stayed in the Chalet room, and it was exactly what we needed for our family of three. The space was beautifully clean, comfortably arranged, and well-equipped with all the essentials. But the absolute showstopper was the balcony! Waking up early to witness a magnificent misty sunrise rolling over the lush green mountains right from our room was a core memory for us. Our kid loved sitting out there watching the distant trains go by and spotting playful monkeys in the trees. It felt like our own private paradise in the hills. 🐒🌅 The hospitality here is what truly sets this hotel apart. The staff treat you like extended family from the moment you step foot on the property. They went out of their way to make sure our child was comfortable, happy, and well-fed. Speaking of food, the breakfast was phenomenal! They served a generous, delicious spread of traditional Sri Lankan dishes alongside fresh fruit and pancakes that kept us full well into the afternoon. The main restaurant area has a wonderfully relaxing, open setup where you can just sit back, enjoy a drink, and absorb the panoramic mountain views. 🥞☕ For parents traveling with a child, finding a spot that balances stunning vistas, pristine cleanliness, and genuinely accommodating service can be tough, but Shining Green View nailed it. A massive thank you to the entire team for looking after our family so beautifully during our one-night stay. We highly recommend the Chalet room and will absolutely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everything was perfect!

This was my second time staying at Shining Green View Ella, and even though it was just a quick one-night getaway as a solo traveler, the experience was absolutely flawless from start to finish. Returning to a place always comes with high expectations, and I am so happy to say they managed to exceed them yet again. From the moment I arrived, I was reminded of why I loved this place the first time. The hospitality here is unmatched. Traveling solo means you really appreciate a team that makes you feel safe, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. The staff is incredibly attentive without being intrusive, embodying the perfect standard of hospitality. Whether you are staying for a week or just passing through for a single night like I was, Shining Green View delivers a consistent, high-quality experience. It is rare to find a property that maintains such a sharp attention to detail and genuine warmth. I’m already looking forward to visit number three! Highly recommended for solo travelers looking for comfort, exceptional service, and stunning views.
