Serene Cottage Ella

It was located in a very scenic place, room we booked had a view point towards Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery atop of the mountain and it was beautiful booth at night and in the morning. The staff was very pleasant, understanding and helpful. Bed featured anti-insect net and towels were provided.

Room was rather dirty, walls are white with writings from previous visitors (which ain't our cup of tea), toiletries were missing.

Such a beautiful location!! What a view. And so so quiet. We could hear the birds and the crickets. Lovely!

It was quite a walk from the center and very steep to get to the house with luggage. There is also no sound isolation, but that doesn't have to be a problem if you book the two rooms.

Lovely place in nature. Walking distance to town. Nice View.

I had an absolute pleasure staying in Serene Cottage and meeting extremely nice and helpful owner. My room was spacious, clean and with super comfy bed. Would recommend everyone who wants to stay close to Ella town but still enjoy serenity of the place and stunning views. Thank you Pradeep!

I like this place and highly recommend staying here at least for 1 night. If you want silence, this is a great choice. You will be surrounded by sounds of nature and mountains.

If you don't drive a scooter, maybe it would be difficult to get this place from the center of Ella.

The place offers stunning views in a peaceful environment. The service is excellent, and the facilities are well-maintained and clean.

Location was 25 minutes walking far from city center of Ella There is lizard in my room ,same every where in Srilanka Staffs couldnot speak English compeletly But they were kind and they help me

Pradeep was one of the my best hosts in Sri Lanka. He really went above and beyond. Firstly, he offered to pick me up from Ella. He showed me his brilliant hand drawn map of the area, which helped me to make the best of my time in Ella. Dushan, his tuk-tuk driver was very helpful. On the morning I had to leave, I needed to visit the hospital because I had a skin infection. Pradeep arranged Dushan to take me to Badulla private hospital, to wait with me and drop me off at the bus station to my Mahinangaye bus. I felt so grateful, that I had my host support with me in a difficult time. I loved Serene Cottage, because the hill view from my balcony was beautiful. The area was peaceful and seren, faithful to its name.
