Sofi Rooms

Elisabeth gave us excellent information during the booking process and scheduled a driver to pick us up from the ferry terminal the day we arrived. She met us at the end of the road and escorted us to the property (which is down some stairs) while giving us suggestions for places to eat and special events which would be taking place during the time we were visiting. The room itself was clean, well stocked (the Apivita products were a treat!), and perfectly located for beautiful sunsets. It’s just below the Orthodox cathedral and an easy walk up to the high street of Fira. The roof above the hotel has gorgeous views of the caldera, Oia, and Akrotiri, with a beautiful dome bisecting. We couldn’t have asked for a better view for tea in the morning and evening! We had the most fantastic time visiting and look forward to coming again!

The hotel might be challenging for someone who struggles with stairs, but not more than any other location in Fira would be. This wasn’t an issue for us at all and I think it could be carefully navigated for people who just need a bit more time going up/down

We absolutely loved the whole panorama from the terrace, the access to the location is easy but especially the location is exactly in the area with visibility of the cruise ships and the volcanic caldera, they are superlative. The proximity is very good, with everything you need, from restaurants, bus stops, shops and car or ATV rental locations. The host is an extremely welcoming and hospitable person. I wouldn't necessarily call this opinion, that I didn't like something... Personally, I thought it was the "salt and pepper" added to the location. It may be just a small problem for people with low mobility or overweight, but the host will know which room to give you, the terrace is a big plus, it's fantastic, but be careful if you find yourself in one of the two categories above. So... it's worth all the effort to enjoy a hot coffee in the morning or in the evening to see the phenomenal sunset, from up on the terrace, especially with your loved one. Enjoy this !
