This is a great option for your stay in Loja. It's on a main street just 3 blocks from the main plaza where you will find the office for tourist information, the Cathedral and a free cultural museum. My room did not face the street so it was very quiet. I really appreciated the filterd water. The room was large, clean and had the best mattress and pillows in Ecuador. The people who run it are super nice. They don't speak any English but we communicated using a translator app so it wasn't a problem. I messed up my dates and needed to leave a day early and they gave me my money back for that day which was amazing. They also let me have a late check out which was awesome because my flight out was later in the day

The water wasn't that hot but it was ok. Really needed a bath mat for the shower. The wifi is weak but doable.

Great location,close to everything. Taxi from bus terminal to the hostal costs 1.50 USD Joel was very helpful. Excellent laundry service and very cheap.

It was okay, but nothing interesting. The price of the room a bit expensive compared to the facilities they provided.

The staff was a racist, when I handed them my passport, and he still called me as Chinese/chinos even the passport clearly written my nationality. I didn't know that my look can be associated to China when I never born or have connections with them at all. No hot water.
