The house and the garden are beautiful.

A number of small things were not quite right. Reception was uninformative, access to the house was limited because of pest control taking place, bathroom was quite a bit older than pictures suggested.

Staff so friendly . Very comfortable rooms . Lovely breakfast.

Having a dinner option would be amazing .

The staff were friendly, engaging and did a great job. We were allowed to check in early, which was helpful. The home cooked breakfast was simple but delicious. We enjoyed eating on the terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens. There was a large pool and pool towels were provided, but there was no shade/umbrellas and the pool itself would benefit from a lick of paint. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. No air con or fans, but it cooled down at night so that wasn't an issue for us.

Our room (the family suite) was very dated and rather shabby in places. The bathroom in particular was very old and in need of updating. We saw some of the other rooms whilst they were being cleaned, and they looked much nicer. Wifi would only work in the main area of the house and would not connect in our room. It's quite an unusual set up in that the staff leave the property at 5pm and guests are left alone at the property. There were no other guests during our stay and it felt slightly unsettling being left alone with no emergency contact numbers etc. There's a communal microwave and fridge in the breakfast room but generally speaking it's not set up for eating in and you need to drive to go out and get dinner etc as there is no on-site restaurant after 4pm when the wine tasting room closes. Unusually for a hotel on a vineyard, no complimentary wine tasting. The honesty bar was useful.

Staff were very friendly. Place was quiet and clean.

I was to tired to look out for things that I din't like.
