I enjoyed being able to check in easily, the enormous bathroom, lovely views and feeling immediately at home in comfortable surroundings with homely touches.

The website completely misrepresents what this is. there are no communal facilities, so you are just buying a room and can’t access the lovely bits of the building shown on the website. access to the outside is dangerously dark at night. the room was supposed to be deluxe (and was charged as such -and then some) but it was small with a small double bed, no bedside tables only one chair, no wardrobe and no table on which to eat breakfast so it had to be taken standing or in bed. the kitchenette was just a large cupboard with a sink on it right by the bed. the “complimentary” breakfast was missing any juice or fruit and was basically a packet of Tesco bread plus marmalade pots and a bit of cereal. bad idea to put the toaster right under the smoke alarm as well. on the other hand the bathroom was massive. the view from the window (which is a boast on the website) was OKish but spoilt by a washing line and a good stretch of the M1
