APARTMAN J&M

This apartment was the highlight of our stay in Croatia so far. The location is perfect - just 5 min from Zadar center. The apartment is perfect for a family of 4. In fact even can accommodate 6-7 people easily. The balcony is nice, the parking is perfect.. and more . The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials. The bathrooms are very modern. And most of all, the host is lovely. She let us in 2 hours earlier than planned, and allowed is to stay an extra hour since the kids weren't up. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Zadar.

The only downside was that the AC is only in the living room. We happened to be there when there was a severe heat warning. And the cool air wouldn't reach the bedrooms. I wish we had a table fan to redirect some of the air there. Shouldn't be a problem most times.

The 2 bedroom apartment is large and actually has a 3rd attic space that has 2 beds and an aircon so great if you are travelling with a group. The new shower room is modern and lovely but the other bathroom with toilet is not updated. We found the drains in most of Croatia had a whiff but it isn’t due to the apartment being unclean. In fact the host spent many hours cleaning. She didn’t speak English but was very helpful. I think she lives downstairs under the apartment but we did not hear her in the evening. The roads are very narrow around her property as it is a residential area however she provided us with a parking space outside. Cost €5.5 to get an Uber to old town. If you are happy to be out of Zadar you can get this large apartment for a very reasonable price.

It was a lovely apartment in a nice quiet location. The children liked the little bedroom at the top of the house. Kitchen was well equipped, and the bathroom was great. The main area had air conditioning which we needed as it was 35 degrees when we stayed!

The bedrooms were very hot with no fans.

The owner is a lovely person and was extremely kind to us, even if we weren’t able to speak with her in English. We used Google translate to communicate, and this worked more than fine. She also gave us a bunch of grapes that were picked on the day from her garden that were absolutely amazing and let us stay an hour past check out. The facilities are also great. it’s about a 30 minute walk (very doable) to the old city centre
