Old House

The house is full of character and is authentic. Basic room but the chimney from the stove kept us warm. The food is plenty and very tasteful.

Very friendly family and delicious food

Wow - the food was some of the best we had on our 9-night hike in Svaneti - fresh, lots of vegetables, meat and spices, not too bread-heavy - big thank you to the incredible hostess. The family are super lovely and welcoming, the son (?) speaks fluent English and had great online communication before we arrived (we had to change dates etc). The building is truly an old house - beautiful woodwork and solid, full of history. They also sell beers to celebrate your day of hiking.

The beds are basic but they get the job done :-) our room didn’t have a window but it was right next to the balcony with a lovely view - and some of the other rooms have windows.

It was very atmospheric and warm, like going back in time. The hosts kept to themselves but made very good food!
