Nonna Enza Apartment

Large apartment in a great location in Atrani, just a short 5-10 minute walk from Amalfi. The owner was great and assisted us with finding the apartment and helping us with our bags.

The apartment was clean and in regards to proximity to the beach and central area, pretty good.

If you have mobility issues, even minor, this isn't the place for you. Lots & lots of steps & narrow walkways would be a challenge. The apartment needs updating, broken toilet seat (which Davide said, happened that morning), but judging by chips out of the seat, has been like that a long time, broken shower, only hand held worked as switch for overhead was broken off, lightbulbs missing, only 1/2 toilet roll supplied in each bathroom & when I asked for further supply, I was told to go & buy myself, they supply for the beginning. I do at least expect the minimum of a full toilet roll (call me old fashioned) in each bathroom. The outside 2seater sofa had big holes in it & had seen better days. Also, Davide did try and overcharge us with the tourist tax, which is €1.50 per person per night, but cheekily, he tried to charge us €2.50 pppn. Even on the app, it shows €1.50 pppn. Poor just to make €6, but yet, won't supply toilet roll, strange.

Even the apartment unit was fairly old, but was in the heart of town. David (Son of host) was very patient, waited for me a while until I parked inside the tunnel parking . Then brought us to the unit. The unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 3 terrace which

Interior little bit old, but felt like home

Nonna Enza was the perfect spot to " come home to " after spending the day out and about on the Amalfi coast. The apartment has a large, clean kitchen that made meal making easy. The two terraces are fantastic spaces for morning coffee or evening drinks, or just hanging out soaking up the ambiance. The bedroom has a lots of closet space and a door that leads to one of the terraces. Atrani is a short pleasant walk from Amalfi so accessing all Amalfi has to offer is easy, but we really enjoyed staying in the less touristy Atrani. We really enjoyed the walk thru the narrow "street" steps of what we came to consider our neighborhood.

The house was lovely and homely. The terraces were amazing, especially the roof with beautiful sea views. The photos on booking.com don't do it justice. Atrani was amazing and peaceful with a great beach, good restaurants, bars and a shop are really close. Amalfi is also a 5 minute walk away and is really beautiful. It was a perfect holiday and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Nothing we loved our stay

I couldn’t recommend Nonna Enza enough. The owners communication was absolutely amazing and they always responded within just a few minutes. They helped us out with a driver to get from Atrani - Positano when our ferry was cancelled and it was all organised within 5 minutes. The property is only a 5 minute walk from Amalfi also. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Atrani was a great location away from the crowds in Amalfi. We enjoyed shopping at the local markets and spending time at the beach. The apartment was very spacious, and the terraces were a bonus and offered a lovely space to enjoy the view and some quite time after a hectic day of sightseeing. Although somewhat dated, this only added to the charm and did not detract from the quality of our stay.

The second bed could do with a mattress update.
