Vila Tosca

The staff is very nice and the property is in a good location in the city

Tosca used to be my favourite place to stay in Bacău, I stayed there a few times and everything was ok then. Not anymore. I arrived at 2:30-3:00 in the morning (property staff were aware I was going to arrive at that time) and I had to knock on the door for about 10-15 minutes while I was staying in the cold (it was -11 outside) and called them numerous times until someone finally unlocked the door. After checking in, I went upstairs to my room. It was 16 degrees in the room and 10 degrees in the bathroom. I could barely have a shower because it was too cold in the bathroom. So, instead of going to sleep at 3 in the morning, I had to stay awake and go to the ventilation thermostat to turn it on every 10-15 minutes because the ventilation system kept switching off after a few minutes (timer wasn’t on. It was off). There was no way you could fall asleep as it was way too cold. Next day I told one of the staff members that it’s very cold in the bathroom and heater is not working. She said she will have a look. 2nd night, it was freezing again, nothing was fixed. There was a stained towel in the bathroom so I left it on the floor thinking that the cleaner will take it and replace it with a clean one. That didn’t happen. Cleaner took the towel from floor and put it on the door. It was the same towel with the same stains. Also, if you’re planning to stay at this property, take some toilet paper with you. They only leave one in the bathroom and if it’s almost running out, cleaner won’t replace it or leave a spare one in the bathroom. So take some tissues or toilet paper with you. Also, they say they have wifi. They don’t. It’s not working. I used to love this place, but prices were raised and services are just awful. I won’t stay here ever again. It’s a shame as this property used to be amazing.
