Very friendly staff. I sent my parents there and they were extremely impressed by the location of the cottage, the delicious breakfasts, and the fact that it’s truly a place with soul. I recommend it to anyone who wants to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I really enjoyed my stay. It's a beautiful house in a gorgeous location perched on a cliff above the coast. The manager, Antonio, was lovely to meet, and he made a delicious dinner for me. There's a cozy nook with a roaring fire on a winter's night -- huge plus. And the house is stocked with old belongings and kitsch from the world-famous singer, Amalia Rodrigues. It was quirky in a way that really appealed to me.

Some of the quirks of the property may not work for other travelers, even though I didn't personally mind. Amalia stipulated that the property be kept just the way she left it, and so it's a beautiful old house that probably could use some updates. If you're expecting a modern luxury hotel, this may not be the place for you. It's also in a relatively remote location, which worked perfectly for me but is not walkable to anything. For me, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, but everybody's tastes are different.

Der Gastgeber ist für mich das Highlight gewesen - er ist der Cousin von Amalia und hat so viele tolle Geschichten zu erzählen. Wir waren im Winter da und der Kaminplatz und die anderen Gäste waren auch ganz ganz toll.
