THEY OENK - GEK MANIK HOMESTAY

A beautiful homestay with lots of interesting Hindu architectural elements. The room was big and I loved the black-out red curtains, good for sleeping in. There was a nice balcony as well, and a hot water shower. Homestay owners are a family, and Bapak and Ibu were really friendly and smiley. :) Security there is also good, there are CCTVs. They have 3 cute dogs!! The brown one is friendly, you can pet him :D Location is near a lot of food places, like Warung Sika (yummy) and a bunch of cafes. Also just 15 min walk to Batu Bolong beach where you can see beautiful sunsets every day.

Ended up having quite a lot of mosquitoes entering my room and staying with me for four nights lol. Also every night you can hear club or live music till 12am, and also people screaming from the catapult swing ride until like 12.30am loll. I don't sleep that early so it's fine but maybe it's not the best if you're an early sleeper. But not sure if you'll also face the noise issue with other accommodations around Canggu since its a small area.

Spacious room. Guard dogs that doesn’t bite nor get too close to you (but still cute). The top floor room 1 has one of the best views and moments for sunsets! The area is walkable to a scooter rental area, a bunch of warungs (food stalls), many types of bars and even a emergency room / clinic.

There’s a smell when using the bidet. But clears away after spraying the water away for a moment. Other than that everything’s good!

Aggressive dogs, I was afraid they bite me and will have to go hospital for rabbies

Very friendly and good value, I loved the ornate carvings and to sit beside the door in the courtyard.

The gate is tricky. I don’t think I mastered it in my short stay, nor did anyone else staying I think!

Friendly staff, great location, great view from the balcony! Great value for the money.

As other reviews have pointed out, there is a lot of surrounding noise from the dogs and local businesses, especially on Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays.

The place is very beautiful and the room clean and with a lovely balcony. Staff is nice and welcoming. Very close to the center and to the beach, I think less than 10 minutes walk.

In that moment there is an amusement park close to the hotel so it's a little bit noisy at evening.

Friendly staff. Good location next to everything but still quiet. Loved the private balcony. The homestay looks like a temple.

Amazing homestay. Cozy, clean, perfect location… I extended my stay there almost 2 weeks because of how good I feel there.
