Location, appeal from the outside: staff allowed me to check out much later.

The bed was so harsh and the pillows were so flat that sleeping was far from perfect. Add to that mosquitos and worn out bedding - sleepless night guaranteed.

200 years old architecture

Electricity were cut down quite often and some areas need maintenance

This is a 200-year old renovated Dutch home that has been converted into a guest house although each room has its own bathroom. The front of the house looks just like the picture. I had one of the upper-rooms with a balcony that was covered in ivy. It is like living in a storybook. This room did not cost extra. I simply booked in advance and requested one of the rooms with a balcony. The staff are very helpful and it is in an ideal location - quiet neighborhood near a vibrant commercial district. This Guest House also owns a really popular restaurant that exhibits local art. I regret that I only visited the restaurant on the day before my departure, as it has great ambiance and an interesting menu. Check it out !

This guest house is so charming that many people come around to pose for pictures in front of the home. Sitting on the balcony with morning coffee can make you feel as if you are on a movie set :)
