Very nice hosts

Our room was lovely, clean, and comfortable. We loved the garden and surrounding scenery. Eshowe is an amazing place to visit, and we were close to the Dlinza Forest and Fort Nongqayi Museum, which were particularly interesting.

Everything was good, beauty to cleanliness, will definetely call again.

We booked ,viewing the website and confirmed as , a " Deluxe Double Room with balcony " viewing into the forest. We selected the venue based on being able to relax and view the birdlife , which interests us . Instead we were accommodated in an enclosed apartment directly onto the road frontage without easy access to the forest area or facilities - not what we booked for!

The photos of this property don’t do justice to the beauty of the gardens. Everything was meticulously cared for and maintained, from the entrance, gardens, and the rooms themselves. Our room (deluxe double “Pigmy Kingfisher”) had a wonderful balcony where we could watch birds during the day and listen to frogs and bush babies at night. The room was immaculate and comfortable, if a bit small, for 2 people. We felt welcomed by the friendly hosts, and they had many useful dinner suggestions for us. The aerial boardwalk in the nearby forest was one of the highlights of our 2 month birding trip to South Africa.

The room was a bit crowded for us with our luggage, but the small kitchen had counter-space which helped.

The location and staff were amazing!

The bed was uncomfortable The cookie in my jar was in an opened packet, and was stale.
