The onsen

I really liked how friendly and helpful the owner was, and he was genuinely kind and made the stay more pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. Everything was straightforward and met my expectations, and any minor issues were very small and easily manageable.

The property is within walking distance to 7-11, few minutes to ski bus stop. Owner Nanjo San is very nice and gives us a few valuable tips how to move around. The best experience is the hot tub, indoor and outdoor, unique experience.

The staff is very supportive, pick up service from station and from hotel to Happo One

No lift

The first mention of all the things we loved about Anise Garden has to be Nanjo, the host. He's such a lovely guy, and helped us out a lot during our stay. The room was so warm and cosy, we had a great night's sleep, the bed was the comfiest we slept in during our 3 week trip in Japan. The onsen is of course the icing on the cake, especially in a mountain town like Hakuba.

That we only stayed 1 night, had I known more about Hakuba and Nanjo's hospitality, we'd have stayed for at least 3.
