Yadoya LOTUS - Vacation STAY 34250v

The location is a 5min walk to Kabira beach. The food was beyond our expectations. We look forward to our daily breakfast and dinner. It was a well balanced meal with fresh ingredients. During our 3 days, 2 nights stay, there were no reptitions. We had sukiyaki, steamed fish and assortes side dishes on ouf first night, then it was grilled ishigaki beef on the 2nd night. It was a generous portion. You can even book with the owner to use the jaccuzzi. The couple who owned the place were friendly, generous and hospitable.

The toilet and bathroom were not ensuite. Although each room was allocated a separate bathroom and toilet, it was inconvenient to step out of the room to use the toilet at night.

The hosts were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Going above and beyond to help you feel comfortable and welcome. Amazing food as well!

Spacious, clean and cosy! Convenient, at the heart of Kabira Bay.

Staying here is one of the fondest memories we have of our three week trip to Japan. Masato and his wife were very kind to us and made us feel most welcome! Throughout our stay, they were incredibly thoughtful and attentive to our every need. The greatest highlight was the local food they prepared for us: yakiniku, sashimi, Okinawan soba, tempura, and many other dishes overflowing from the kitchen. It was only later that we learned it is Okinawan custom to set a table that was impossible to clear, and that our hosts would not be offended if we did not finish everything. The food was incredibly delicious and interesting (and was better than at any restaurant on Ishigaki that we had eaten at). We also enjoyed the company of the 4 friendly cats and dog that are all part of the host family. The location is ideal for walking down to Kabira Bay, a popular local tourist destination. It is close to the beach and away from the bustle of town. This was exactly the kind of place we were looking for on Ishigaki: very chill, easy vibe, local food and people, and close to the beach. We would certainly stay here again. In fact, we would come back to the island in order to stay here.

Everything was better than expected for a hotel at this level and price point. It is not a very sophisticated or fancy hotel, but that is sort of the point: it is an excellent, low-key place to relax and enjoy the island.
