No TV, no kettle, fan was a wall fan which didn't really give a good area. On the 3rd floor steep stairs, hard work

Beautiful, scenic location overlooking the river. The boardwalk is just across the street! Onsite restaurant/cafe/tour services. Located in foreigner friendly area within walking distance of convenience (7-Eleven and Darawin) and grocery stores and international restaurants and bars (some open until 3 or 4AM), 24/7 reception, English speaking reception staff who generally address issues and requests in a timely manner. They provided requested minibar for small additional fee as well as a power bar with long extension cord to help provide lighting in bathroom. Spacious area with tables at front to enjoy river views along with a drink or meal. Decent water pressure and air conditioning. Extra wall fan also provided. Space on rooftop where you are allowed to cook.

Really wanted to like this place. Older facilities that are in a state of disrepair. Rotting wooden bathroom doors that can only be partially closed. Water damage, stains, and mould on walls, floors and ceilings. No ventilation fan or lighting (!!!) in the bathroom requiring me to rig up temporary lighting. Extremely slippery bathroom floor with broken glass on it that cause a foot injury--see pictures of glass retrieved from bathroom after injury. Frequent power outages but only for the hotel and not the neighbors. Wifi issues. Frequent strong smell of cigarette smoke. Blue plastic cap on water pipe next to water heater bursting open causing pressurized water to come out into the washroom like a firehose--see picture. One of the lightbulbs exploded when turned on spraying glass everywhere. Broken mirror in washroom. Toilet bowl with brown stains and mould growing where toilet attaches to floor. Unsightly plastic tubes sticking out from walls and ceilings of bathroom. Totally loose toilet seat and cover. Windows that do not close and lock properly/easily. No blankets or comforters provided and instead what looks like a thin linen bedsheet is provided for warmth. Bathroom sink was blocked and water would not drain so ended up not using it the entire stay.

Close to town centre. Room was very clean .nice river views. Need to ask for a Riverview room. Aircon was good. As was the fan..staff were just so helpful. The rainy season made the stay a bit sad. But ok.

The hot shower played up a little bit. May need some service done. The guesthouse is a little bit outdated. But good value. For budget traveller

Friendly staff, decent WiFi (important for me since I work remotely), good price

Mold on the ceiling and bathroom, water keeps leaking in the bathroom so the floor is always wet. The bathroom could use renovation
