Retro Kampot Guesthouse

De charmants petits bungalows en bord d’eau. Très calme et propre. L’accueil et la gentillesse du personnel rend le séjour très agréable. Pleins de petites attentions, la possibilité de prendre un kayak (gratuitement, à proximité d’endroits sympa et à volonté, un gros plus !) des scooters en location à bas prix, et des guides super ! Nous avons passé une journée avec Ree, c’était génial ! Nous le recommandons aussi ! Les plats proposés à l’hôtel sont aussi très bons et peu chers.

Staying at Retro Kampot truly felt like living with family. The staff is so incredibly warm and welcoming. Every time I sat down to relax, they would bring over a fresh fruit bowl and a glass of water. The owner helped me out in so many ways during my stay. One of the absolute highlights was the free kayaks they offer for exploring the river. It is a beautiful, peaceful place and I cannot recommend it highly enough

Tout était parfait, l’accueil par les hôtes, l’endroit est très mignon et apaisant, nous avons pris une chambre avec salle de bain partagée. La literie est confortable et tout était très propre. Les hôtes sont très disponibles et réactifs aux petit soins et offrent constamment eau et salade de fruit. Des biscuits nous on même été offerts à notre départ. Par ailleurs vous pouvez également louer des scooters et il y a un restaurant. La nourriture est copieuse et très bonne. C’était parfait

Monika and her team were lovely... The food was really good too! I enjoyed the fried squid with pepper! If you are too lazy to go out, the common area is conducive for lazing around in the hammocks... Monika was not only very friendly and helpful to the guests at RETRO, but even to my friend who was putting up at another hostel, and merely joined me for the kayaking session. It's not too near the city.. but that's really the way I like it... The sound of crickets... birds chirping... roosters crowing... Tuk tuks are easily available or if you are adventurous enough, motorbikes are available at 6USD a day. They are not too strict with the check-in time so if the room is already available before the official check-in time, they will let you check-in. Oh... Lets not forget the fat cat with an attitude... Haha so so so so adorable!

Well I can't find anything I didn't like but I was woken up at about 4.30am by the call to prayer broadcasting loudly from the Muslim village nearby. It's not a bad thing. I just didn't expect it. I am not even sure if I was woken up by it or if I happened to wake up and hear it. I mistakenly chose a room without air-conditioning so it was a lil warm but the many fans made up for it. Yes it was my own carelessness...

L’emplacement est vraiment bien, avec une terrasse vraiment sur la rivière. Il est très sympa de s’y poser en fin d’après midi dans le hamac ou sur les coussins (attention aux moustiques !) Le personnel est très gentil et attentionné ! On est très bien accueilli Ils font restaurant, petit déjeuner, location de scooter et prêtent des kayaks pour aller sur la rivière !

Il ne faut pas avoir le sommeil léger pour venir ici. J’aurais bien aimé le savoir avant car l’établissement est situé entre 3 mosquées vous êtes réveillés à 4h30 du matin par les chants de ces 3 dernières. De plus, des bateaux à moteur passent à ces mêmes heures dans la rivière. Il est donc difficile de dormir entre 4h et 5h du matin.
