Ringo's Foyer

This is a very social hostel which was great after a long period of solo travel. It feels a little like university vibes, so be prepared for that, but really nice hosts and very good, safe, fun place to stay! I would definitely go back!

Great central location near the Jonker walk, comfy private pod beds, good bathrooms and a nice rooftop. Very helpful owner Howard and volunteers have good recommendations! Lots of activities organised through the hostel.

The room is really spacious and clean, really comfortable. The volunteers make this place unique by creating a really social vibe (except for Matt the pervert, see what I didn't like about the hostel)

Got sexually harassed by the volunteer Matt while I was checking in. I asked for a towel during my check in and spanked me on my ass with it before giving it to me. It was really creepy and made me really uncomfortable. I reported it to the other volunteers who were really professional about it. The owner should be more careful when selecting the volunteers if he wants to keep this place safe and welcoming for all as it's not the only time there is a problem with volunteers in this establishment.

Really good budget hostel about 5mins walk from the main Jonker street area. It is definitely budget, but it's clean and has everything you need. My room had good aircon and a fan as well. Free coffee and tea offered in the kitchen and a water filter available. Really nice communal spaces including a roof terrace and living room area. They offer group activities every day.
