GBThe guest house is a 10 minute walk up hill from the ferry or one stop on the bus which stops outside. We were able to access our room straight from the morning ferry. The room was clean and compact with views to Goat Fell. Lovely garden with picnic table. Great breakfast.

I have no real complaints if I have to say anything the hot water in the bathroom had very poor pressure. Not a deal breaker.

USLocation was great.
The owner controlled the heat, so it was cold. The toilet leaked. The bathroom floor was weeping from below. The mattresses were at least 15 years old... flat with no support. There was no garden/patio area to use.The place needs a total refresh inside and out.
IEI booked this accommodation at the last minute. I was supposed to be wild camping but Storm Dave was approaching and I took the sensible option of moving indoors. Arriving just before the storm really kicked in, I was like a drowned rat but I was still greeted with a warm & genuine welcome. I was invited to use whatever radiators necessary to dry my wet gear and also to use the dining area if I wanted to bring take away food back to the house (A lot of eating options were closed due to the storm). My room was large, clean and comfortable. The lady running the house couldn't have been any more welcoming or friendly. Also, the location is great - the house is only a couple of hundred meters away from the Ferry Terminal (its up hill but hey, it's Scotland!), and a cooked breakfast is always a good thing.
