Pension Casa Soarelui

Everything was very clean and the atmosphere overall was very nice. It s really not far from the city centre, just a 6 min walk. Staff was very warm and ready to help anytime. I highly recommended this place.

Once it got a little more busy during the weekend, I noticed that you could hear every step made by another neighbour. All in all, I would give it a 9.5/10

Clean room and bathroom, nice host, flexible check in and check out, Furniture was new, good and simple taste, practical. Hot water provided all day long, towels and hairdrier provided. Also an extra blanket for cold season but actually the heat was more than enough.

Not suitable for overwightpersons, the stirs case is quit narrow and there is no elevator to the 3rd floor. Not an inconveniant for us but people should mind that.

The hotel is small, it's a pensione-villa, so no wild parties and no chaos. Very quiet, on a quiet street, but close to the center (5 min walk). The place is extremely clean, American-clean. I came with medium expectations after traveling extensively in Europe, and was impressed by this place. Everything in the room was immaculate, new, working, and tasteful. Who knew? The room had a generous balcony, good closet cosmetics galore in the bathroom, lots of towels, etc. We asked for an additional flat sheet, and were immediately served, with concerns tand apologies if it does not match the existing ones. It did. We asked about a place for breakfast near-by, and we got a tray with hot coffee and pastries waiting outside our door next morning. We went hiking one day and we thought of letting the host know what places we had in mind, and we got suggestions and encouragements. In short: service was beyond expectation. If you want a comfortable place, well located, reasonably priced, and with excellent service in Sinaia, definitely try Casa Soarelui (The House of the Sun)

We stayed a weekend here in late July and were very happy with the experience in every respect. All the furniture in our room appeared to be new and the whole place, including the bathroom, was impeccably clean. Location was very good, quite close to the center of town (and not very far uphill, a real consideration when you visit Sinaia by foot!) but on a quiet street very close to the cabin / gondola to takes you up the mountain. We walked to the train station in <20 min and to Peles in ~30 min. Our host was warm and personable, going out of his way to accommodate all our requests - and beyond: extra bedding, coffee & cookies brought to our door, great hike suggestions. (Note: we speak Romanian well so YMMV in other languages, but he certainly has a working knowledge of English as well.) The WiFi worked and although our balcony did not face the gorgeous mountain views (we booked the last room available so we weren't expecting views anyway), it was a quiet and pleasant place to enjoy breakfast. We are experienced travelers -- I've stayed at the Four Seasons in NYC and Tokyo, as well as at $5 hostels in Bangkok and Sucre -- and we would recommend this location as a very good value and comfortable stay, without reservation. We'll happily return! (Also note: this property has many more ratings on Booking-dot-com and Agoda, but I personally use TripAdvisor more often to plan my trips so I wanted to come here and make sure y'all knew about it.)
