Pensiunea Romeo Tecuci

Good rooms if you get them from the beginning. Quite clean. There is a restaurant, i guess the food is good ( i had just a soup)

When i arrived in the afternoon i was checked in in what later discovered it was a smoking room. I wasn’t asked what i prefer. Later in the evening when i was more than a few minutes in the room i realized that i can’t breathe there. Went reception and asked for a non smoking room that i got on the spot. The reception is closed from 23.30 until 7 am. So if you need something during the night you’re in trouble.

The extra blanket, the tea served in a beautiful teapot that we were allowed to take to our room. The room and bathroom were very clean. We didn't actually stay in Pensiunea Romeo. It is operated by Hotelul Parc, and we were given a room in the hotel "because the conditions are better."

It was cold because the heating had been turned off for the summer. Our room was next to the restaurant where there was some noisy event. Thankfully, we had earplugs.

The location was in a quiet area of Tecuci, and a short walk from the railway station (useful when arriving by train). Having discovered how to check in, the room was spacious, clean, and good value for money. Definitely somewhere to stay again.

The challenge I had was checking in. I hadn't realised that check in was via the hotel reception, and had walked around trying to find a property on the other side of the road (the map is wrong). Only after the hotel reception had technically closed, and I'd gone in to enquire if they had a room for me for the night did they show me to the room I'd booked, and the problem was resolved. If I stay again, I will know how this works though. I'm not sure if I missed something in the check in instructions.
