Astra

This was a wonderful place; in fact, the best accommodation of my Italian holiday. Rosa and her family were very welcoming, kind and helpful. The accommodation was spotless and had all the amenities and comfort I needed. The view from the breakfast balcony was spectacular, as we were sitting above the clouds and gradually watched the sun break through to expose the Amalfi Coast.

I have no suggestions for improvements

1 word for this place... underrated. The place is majestic. It's on top of a mountain, you are in the clouds!! the people are all really nice here, plus, it's a 400m walk to the bus stop that takes you to Amalfi; from there, you can get anywhere. sure the transport is lacking BUT, the scenery, the people, the breakfast... it makes more than up for it. this place deserves more than 5 stars, but that's the most I can give them. I assure anyone looking for a place around here... this is it.

The only slight criticism was the mattress was a bit too firm for me

Astra was an oasis in the middle of paradise. The sympathy from its owners and their sweet ragazza Phoebe. Their house full of flowers, nature and love… their breakfast made with suck delicious and local food. We are grateful to say that we spent our days there, surrounded by security and kindness. Great value for money, the best you'll get close to the Amalfi Coast. Easily accessible for hikes such as Path of the Gods. Clean and spacious rooms.

If you are planning to visit the Amalfi Coast, it's best to go here with your own transportation (car or scooter). The bus stop is close by, but the busses are often full and it's a bit of a hassle.

the staff was great and they were very flexible. The place was really good in terms of installations and it was really clean.

to arrive was difficult, probably the best is by car because if you are without it it's really difficult by bus specially during easter which was the period of my stay. Not the most convenient place to stay to explore costa amalfitana.

It's quiet around the area. Good value for money.

They used AC as heating which is not as effective as gas heating. It can be a bit cold if you're staying during April (winter). But it's tolerable.

Great hosts, we were late for check-in but the host was very accommodating and responsive on Whatsapp. Great breakfast with Italian/English options. It was 2 min walk from the property but worth the view.

Our stay at Astra could not have been any better! Rosa, her husband and her son are all very warm and welcoming. It is impossible not to feel at home and at ease in their company and their beautiful b&b. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean and had everything you could ask for. Your breakfast is prepared with a smile by Rosa and is served a bit down the road in a truly splendid setting with sea view. The hosts are always happy to help you out with advice to visit the area Agerola has plenty of good restaurants and is much less crowded than the towns at the Amalfi coastal road. If we would return to the area, we will definitely stay again at Astra.
