Rude staff. Had a miscommunication in our booking.com chat. I asked "Do you have availability to book my room for the night of June 2nd?" — this is phrased as an availability inquiry, not a confirmation. The host's reply "Yes, it's possible. You pay at check-in" reads more like conditional availability than a confirmed reservation. He called me to explain his side and added that culturally, Portuguese would immediately make the reservation booking to help out and tell me I was wrong in my assumptions. I believe we're both wrong bec of our ambiguous messages and I'm terribly sorry for that and whatever opportunity might've been lost. I can understand why the staff were rude since this isnt a big corpo owned establishment so the customer service can be expectedly subpar. But hopefully in the future, things will improve and more customers will be pleasantly surprised by smiling and happy with a polite service.

Camera grande anche se spartana. Letti comunque comodi. Posizione molto comoda anche se non vicinissima al centro (ma questo lo sapevamo già quando abbiamo prenotato...!), ma comunque vicina a tanti servizi.

Bagno enorme ma un po' vecchiotto. Aggiugerei un bollitore dell'acqua per potersi fare un tè e un frigorifero.
