Monkeaw Climber's House

The hosts were lovely. They provided water and snacks and even cooked us some meals! And they were just very nice to deal with and very friendly. We rented a scooter from them for 250 THB per day and we even arranged very early transport to the airport with them on the day we flew out.

As other reviews said, there were quite a few ants. Most of the time they were in the bathroom but a few days they did make it into the bedroom / main room.

Good location for cycling to the hot springs. Beautiful garden. Very friendly hostess who gave us fruit. Aircon was strong fridge downstairs. Loved the open shower!

Could do with a little dusting, if you are sensitive to this. Rooms are basic but functional eg outdoor shower might not work for some

We stayed one night and were deeply disappointed. While the staff seemed kind at first and even gave us a papaya, the room was absolutely unacceptable. It was extremely dirty, with bedbug stains on the bed, curtains, and furniture. The sheets were not clean and reeked of an overpowering chemical spray, as if they had been soaked in it. When we pointed out the bedbug stains to the owner, her response was dismissive and unprofessional, insisting we “shouldn’t look.” This is not how these issues are handled—bedbugs don’t disappear because you ignore them. We had no choice but to stay because it was late and there were no alternatives nearby, but the entire experience was appalling. Avoid at all costs.

Loved our stay, very friendly and helpful host - incredibly clean space and comfy rooms. Lots of parking space available, beautiful views.

The staff were amazing, so kind and welcoming. Greeted me on the road when I arrived and went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. Even organized a bike for me to use after I mentioned it! The room was lovely and big, well equipped, and had a open air bathroom which was lovely at night. I would highly recommend!
