The colleague who did the check in and showed us where to park was very friendly. After we checked out the next day he told us that we can still park our car in the hotel's carpark for the entire day and that we don't have to stress because he can open us the gate to the carpark whenever we want to leave. Very friendly encounter!

The room was modern, very clean, air conditioned, and well located so we were easily able to get where we needed to be. Parking was available on site for an additional 20 euro per night, which was handy as we had a car. There are lots of cafes and bars close by as well as a supermarket. Free bottled water was provided and little packaged sponge cakes. There was a capsule coffee machine in the room with complementary capsules, however we did not use this so I can’t comment on it. The owner was very responsive by What’s App.

For those who do not mind being in close proximity with the host’s parents, who do not speak much English and are not able to provide advice about the area, then Dorothy Home might be suitable. You are essentially sharing an apartment with the host’s parents. The room that we had is located directly off the kitchen/living area which is used by the parents and their bedroom is on the other side of the kitchen/living area. This is not quite what we expected from the property description. The description says ‘The apartment is inhabited by the owner who shares with the guests only the corridor passage’; ‘Featuring a shared lounge…’; ‘Guest rooms at the guest house come with air conditioning, a seating area, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a kitchenette, a dining area’. These descriptions are not quite accurate. In order to get into the room you have to go through the main apartment door, walk through the shared kitchen/living area to get to the bedroom door which is situated right next to the fridge. We did not see the parents in person much, but they used the TV while we were there, which we heard through the wall. Had we known the actual set up of this ‘guest house’ we would not have chosen to stay here. The owner was very communicative via What’s App however we never got to meet them in person. There is parking onsite however we had to pre-pay in cash upon arrival. We were not aware that we would not be able to pay for the parking by card and as a result that cleaned us out of all the remaining cash we had. Also the entrance to the driveway for the parking was difficult to locate. The entrance to the driveway is labelled 34 & 36, not 38 via Irnerio which is the address of the building. So my advice is if you are coming by car you need to slow right down as you approach number 38 then be prepared to turn sharply right into the driveway at the 3rd archway after number 38.

The host treat you really well. Everything was perfect

Great position, easy walking distance for everything we wanted, including train station. Accessible 24 hours (our own keys). Very good bathroom, well equipped.

direct in the centre of town, opposite bus station as well as parking inside available. Very quiet rooms including kitchen with amenities. Friendly helpful staff even if there are language barriers. can only recommend to book!

- the owners are an elderly couple, they were very friendly and hospitable. they offered us coffee and snacks like fruits and biscuits and croissants and water even if breakfast wasn’t included in the price. they also allowed us to check-in early - convenient location , on foot: 15 min from Bologna centrale , 15 min from the city center, and 5 min from the university district

- the bathroom was not very clean , we found stray hairs from the previous guests. - also the floor was not very clean, though the sheets were fresh and the bed was comfy. - for the room , we felt the price was on the high side.
