喜庵 KIAN the guest house by the castle

Host was great, super nice and easy to talk to and very helpful. Area was nice, tho def bus with luggage. Without a walk to main station is fine. The futom was very comfortable and the room was also nice.

Shower head/controls are a bit dated and odd.

The host! Emi is one of the most amazing host I have ever met:) Funny, helpful, welcoming and humble. She has an incredible ability to make you feel at home!

My sister and I spent a wonderful 3 days at Kian Guesthouse in Matsue, perfectly located right next to the castle and plenty of lovely restaurants and nearby activities. Emi was an absolutely exceptional host, going above and beyond with so many lovely personal touches to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The house itself is a lovely, well kept, clean traditional house with tatami flooring and a tea ceremony room upstairs. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, and the shared kitchen and bathroom facilities were always spotless with plenty of space for the number of guests staying in the house. Overall we highly recommend staying here if visiting Matsue, thank you Emi!

ホストの方のおもてなし、心遣いが最高でした。

良くなかった点はありません。建物が古い木造なので、一階の部屋に宿泊した場合、2階の方の足音や声が聞こえるのは（内容とかはわからないですよ）少し気になりましたが、許容範囲です。

The host, Emi, is warm and friendly. The guesthouse was perfectly clean and regularly cleaned. Bathrooms were excellent. Kitchen, with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and hot water kettle was useful.

Spotless home with lovely host who was interested in us as visitors and made us very welcome. Special treat to have the tea ceremony prepared in an authentic but relaxed way.

Emi était aux petits soins. Nous avons été accueilli chaleureusement, avec toutes les explications qu'il fallait concernant le logement, et de bons conseils pour visiter la ville. Le logement était impeccable, chaleureux, et confortable.

Our stay at 喜庵 KIAN the guest house by the castle was exceptional and a true delight. Located in a quiet alley in view of the Matsue Castle, our host Emi provided a warm welcome and was very helpful in suggesting (in English) interesting places to visit in the area. Our tatami room was clean and comfortable with AC and free WiFi. The kitchen provided a refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven, tea pot and tea, a table and chairs, and kitchen sink.
