CASA HAIDUCILOR SATIC

This is a really beautiful location at the foot of the Craiului park, in a rustic setting. There are few services nearby, given the rural location, so may wish to cook or grill in the shared kitchen. The simple rooms have all the essentials for a pleasant short stay.

The description is somewhat unclear: these are hotel-like rooms in a multilevel house, each equipped with a bed, bathroom, a mini-fridge (though one that takes exceptionally long to cool down), and a (shared) balcony. There is no kitchenette in the rooms which the description implies. Rather, when you access the rooms, you pass through a shared and fairly public dining area next to a large shared kitchen. It has all the basics for cooking, though if another guest is using it or has some of the cooking wares you will have to plan accordingly. More photos and a more precise description would have helped. Note that the hosts (and nobody who we encountered in the whole area) speaks a word of any language except Romanian. This was not really a problem for us, but it is something to consider for those less used to traveling in remote areas.
