The Hidden Spring

Spacious, tidy, comfortable and clean room. Beautiful view. Short distance drive to busy Wanaka. Good value for money.

No kitchen sink and very little kitchen bench.

Stunning property. Booked a last minute getaway and I am so pleased to have chosen the Hidden Spring. The views were amazing and the room was open, light and just all round a lovely place to stay. Was the perfect spot for a getaway!

The bed was slightly hard but it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the stay.

Kitchenette quite compact, another little table or bench in free space would be most helpful

Had a high hopes staying here and was looking forward to it but what a dirty dissapointment! It seems the owners are only out to make a quick buck from tourists which is such a same as this place could be really beautiful if kept and maintained - the owners just do not care. There is a mishmash of kitchen items, I had to clean kitchen utentials (and drawer doors) before use as they were so dirty, cupboard doors are missing, lightbulbs are out (we could not see walking to the front door at night and had to use our phone torches as no outside bulbs worked to give light). I expect to see at least a full set of glasses in the cupboard not the mismatched odds and sods that were either chipped or cracked, empty boxes left laying around, crumbs not cleaned up, nothing wiped down, the list goes on. Went to turn on the bedside light but the bulb was out and the switch left a sticky tacky residue - don't even want to think what that could be. The curtains are too short in the second bedroom there are 2 single beds and not the double bed as per the photos. No dishwashing tablets and when we requested some and the toilet seat to be tightened the reply back was they would inform the staff (never saw any staff while we were there and never got the tablets or seat fixed). Garden needs weeding including the weed that is growing inside under the back door. It's dusty, it's filthy and not a place you want to walk around in in barefeet. Unfortunately I would not recommend you spend your money staying here until there is either a change of ownership or clear proof that the place has been tidied up and CLEANED.

Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a short stay. Great location with excellent views.

Would be great to add in a small kitchen bench and tap.
