Grand Heights - Vacation STAY 17555v

Property is great, have a small apartment area. With all needed facilities, ac, kitchen area, bathroom etc. Owner is wonderful, he has helped me a lot and driven me many places when he is not busy! This area is a little bit from ushibuka port, about 45 mins walking, if you have a car it makes it a lot better for this area, I walked many places and it was fine. You can get to mogushi beach at about an hour walk, there is some buses aswell to the local stuff, they come around every hour or so, I prefer to walk. There is a coin laundry 20 mins wal away, I think you can ask to do laundry in the property aswell? Convenience store 5 mins walk nearby that is open 7am -9pm I think, other convenience store about 25 mins walk away open all the time 24/7. Restaurants nearby there is a few open, then if you go to the port area there is many more. This is sea town so many fish foods. Owner took me to a big onsen about 10 mins drive north. Great onsen with steam sauna. Price for accommodation is very good aswell! And very clean!

I was riding a bicycle from Gumamoto to Grand heights in Amakusa the placs I reserved to spend a night before going to Kagoshima. It was raining. When I get to the Inn, it was 11 at night. The manager left a note saying that my reservation was cancelled because I did not get to the inn by 7:30 . I sent a message saying that I will be late. I was shocked because I was very tired and it was raining.. When I reserved the place I clearly indicated that I was doing a bike tour from my remark on keeping my bike. Then the manager could expect that I could be late. His decision of cancellation on my reservation is not quite right. I was lucky to get a help from a young mem I met in the street while looking for the inn. Based on this unpleasant experience I chose the rating .
