Vetho House

I used to stay at Vetho House years ago and loved it, but our last visit left us a little disappointed. That said, the showers were lovely, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the staff were amazing — friendly and super helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast, and the location right on the walkway to the beach and nearby restaurants and bars is perfect. The room felt quite dated (over priced for what it was), and there was a persistent unpleasant odour in the hallway and stairs leading to it. The room was mostly clean, but when we moved things to make space for our luggage we found quite a lot of dust underneath and behind the furniture — it clearly hadn’t been deep-cleaned in a while. The rest of the room was clean.

Location is unbeatable. Sound of waves during the night and watching the sun rise from your bed. Friendly and accommodating staff.

The height of the roof coming into the building via the front beach gate. I am 6,4" and there was no warning of the roof height as you walk up the stairs...we let just say i fell to floor once my head struck the roof....painful i must say. Please put up signage.

The obvious reason for my consistent return to the venue is the prime location. The ocean views are impeccable. The staff treated us as VIPs. Breakfast was not only scrumptious but also healthy. Hygiene at top notch

Beautiful property with great views. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. This is my second time staying at Vetho house , very relaxing with amazing views from your balcony.

The only thing that I had an issue with was the ants in Cabin 4. It’s a bit uncomfortable as they were crawling on the bed only. Had to wake up multiple times at night to dust them off the bed as it’s very uncomfortable crawling al over you. This started from the first day of stay, i noticed them as I walked in however I didn’t complain to staff as I didn’t want to be difficult but as the nights went on it did very uncomfortable. Was not happy that. If I do stay there again will definitely check room condition before staying in the cabin.

I did not get to spend a night here as there was a problem with my booking but the staff were very helpful in assisting me to contact Bookings.com and also suggesting nearby areas to consider. I would definitely visit Vetho House again when coming to Balito.
