Galash-R

The property is a family house, located at the center of the village. The staff was very welcoming and gentle and the property was amazingly clean. Breakfast was one of the best I had in Georgia.

Good location, nice Mountain View’s from patio, bed was comfortable and there are extra blankets, but that said room was never too hot or never too cold. WiFi surprisingly good for a small mountain town. Huge and delicious breakfasts. Super kind owners that go above and beyond to help you out.

Slight sewer smell from shower drain at times.

Galash-R is a small family-owned accommodation that is more like a homestay than a hotel. The atmosphere is very homey with the hosts who are very friendly and attentive to their guests' needs. My room was quite spacious and very clean with good lighting. The breakfasts were very fresh, delicious and hearty. The landlady even provided us with containers to bring our breakfast leftovers (and there were lots of that) to have as lunch during our daily activities. Galash-R is in a small street and away from the tourist traffic, which we found to be ideal. However, it is only a short walk to Mestia's main road where the restaurants and shops are.

Galash-R was having some construction work done, but the only inconvenience to us was in carrying our luggages into and out of the hotel building. Not much of a problem to us, really.

We loved our host Tsitso (not sure of spelling!). She was so friendly and provided for our every need. I told her it was my partner's birthday and she went above and beyond to help us with celebrations, buying a birthday cake and serving us homemade wine. The place was exceptionally clean and we loved the balcony in our room. It was also well located, only 5-10 mins walk from the centre, and the hosts will help you with organising taxis to places of interest / lunchboxes if you ask!

The host Rati was super awesome - gave warm welcome and also being helpful in providing suggestions to our tours. Breakfast was great too! We are so energetic with the breakfast for the hike :) I like the little garden, and the view from the room was fantastic as well. I spent a little time exploring the whole property - the view from the top floor was also superb. You can see the glacier at the back.

Accommodating and kind host who helped us find our tour on the next day, good breakfast and quiet location. Great balcony and clean rooms.
