A Casa do Lado

The bedroom and bathroom were large. There was some fruit and water drinks and biscuits available in the kitchen.

We were not met at the property and we were quite confused to find this huge 5 bedroomed house all to ourselves, this was not explained when I booked. We were walking the Camino, and to get to this property you had to dice with death on an incredible busy road, very scary as there was no proper footpath and heavy lorries thundering by. The nearest place to eat meant walking along the road again about 15/20 min walk certainly not 5 mins as the owner claims. The restaurant was the worst we had been to on the Camino, it felt like everything was out of a tin, just awful. There were no other pilgrims about, I would not recommend this place for pilgrims unless you are a group and want to cook.

Wow. The photos do not do it justice. This was my favorite stay on the Camino. Incredibly friendly host, huge beds, a basket of goodies, sparkling clean, spacious. Amazing. Our group had a little difficulty finding it off the Camino because their phones didn't have data and it's down a street off the Camino before you got the town.

Lovely big room, well ventilated. Very quiet rural setting. Restaurant nearby, average food.

I liked the rural setting however I like a few more options for food.

Wonderful spacious room, comfortable bed, and clean. The family running the place was very responsive and considerate. I had a very nice experience here.
