Bali Bening

Clean and the family was very nice. Felt very local and like we were staying in someone’s home. Location is close to stunning waterfalls!

Food was fine. Medium hike up the hill to get to main road, other restaurants, and waterfalls.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte in dieser Unterkunft. Die Gastgeber und das Personal waren super freundlich und immer ansprechbar. Schon zu Beginn wurde uns ein Plan zu mögliche Wanderungen übergeben. Das Essen wurde immer frisch zubereitet und war sehr lecker. Sowohl das Frühstück. als auch das Abendessen. Die Lage ist etwas Außerhalb von Munduk, aber gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die gesamte Unterkunft und das Zimmer waren sauber. Lediglich das Bad hätte eine Renovierung notwendig. Nach unserem Aufenthalt hatte uns der Sohn der Familie für einen fairen Preis zur nächsten Unterkunft gefahren und hierbei noch 2 Stopps in den Reisfeldern und einem Wassertempel gemacht.

La habitación era muy amplia con una terraza con vistas increíbles. Todo muy limpio. La comida estaba muy buena y el trato muy agradable. Nos consiguieron un driver para Padang Bai a horas muy complicadas muy rápidamente. Todo perfecto.

Lo único peor era que el acceso era un poco complicado. Tienes que tener moto si o sí para moverte por la zona.

Lodge en pleine nature avec une belle vue sur la forêt. Une balade de 4h permet d’aller découvrir 4 belles cascades un peu moins fréquentées.

Certains équipements comme les moustiquaires meriteraient un coup de jeune même si nous n’avons eu que très peu de moustiques. Notre lampe de chevet ne fonctionnait pas. Le lieu est vraiment éloigné.

Mit Grab kommt man hin, zurück einfach die Besitzer fragen, diese organisieren einen unkomplizierten Transfer. Die Lage ist perfekt fußläufig in der Nähe der Reisfelder und Wasserfälle. Für die Wasserfälle empfehlen wir sehr einen Tourguide den die Unterkunft ebenfalls organisiert. Das Essen ist gut und relativ vielfältig (bei uns hatte das Restaurant immer bis 21 Uhr geöffnet). Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und konnten problemlos sogar noch eine Nacht verlängern. Würden wieder herkommen, alles war sauber und das Zimmer mit Balkon riesig.

Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass drum rum praktisch nur Natur ist d.h. einen Atm oder Supermarkt findet man nur weiter weg :) Bei so einem großen Zimmer könnte man Ablegeflächen oder Aufhänger hinzufügen.

Location was great. A long but enjoyable walk to all waterfalls. Rooms were large and bathrooms functional. Owner and staff were lovely. Food was enjoyable.

The location- by which I mean it's away from all the madness and busyness of a city. The view from the balcony, cleanliness, five waterfalls and rice terraces nearby. Breakfast and the friendly attitude of the staff. The host was waiting for my arrival even though I arrived around 1 am, as my flight got delayed coming into Bali.

It's a bit away from everything. Not an ideal place if you don't have your own transport. Unless you are happy to spend a lot of money on the taxi service the villa offers, or you don't mind walking long distances. Which again is not the best experience as there are dogs everywhere and they get highly protective of their area at night and early morning hours (Which is what they are meant for but that means it's not safe for you). Also, most of Bali hardly have footpaths, I don't recollect seeing anyone walking on the roads. So you're risking getting hit by ongoing traffic or falling off the edge of the road. The bathroom window does not have curtains or blinds for privacy. So you just need to be mindful of risking being seen from the other side of the hill. The mesh was also ripped and cut on one corner. Making it a free entry for mosquitoes in the evening. Also my room was next to the villa's laundry room (not accessible to the guests) which meant I kept hearing a banging sound every so often, sometimes even late at night. Finally, even though it's a scenic place it's hard to escape the noise of the loud motorbikes and the temple bells or loud music, etc.
