"Excellent restful spot in the center of quiet hill town Gouveia."

The lodging is in the ground floor of a carefully modernized and upgraded house in the center of Gouveia. The host was completely fluent in English and Portuguese, and answered lots of questions about the town and surrounding area. The room was large and quiet, with a large spotless bath. Breakfast was a nice selection of fresh foods.

This room was exactly what I had hoped for. It was clean and quiet, and provided a base for exploring the area. The host being from the States was a bonus. She shared a lot of local knowledge and information.
